Painter, Robert Jacoby, has been an active artist since the mid-1980s. Mr. Jacoby focused on figurative drawing and painting until 2010 when he moved to abstraction. As he describes it, the transition was primarily to explore “duende,” a concept inherent to flamenco, his favorite performance art. “Duende is the Dionysian force rising in a singer, instrumentalist or dancer to inspire blazing performance.” Many of the paintings selected for this site illustrate the artist’s responses to duende.
“I am a professional artist who recently used Painted Pages Web Design to create a new web site. The company proved to be highly efficient, creative, responsive and courteous. The owner, Judith Stone Rauschkolb, was thoroughly professional and an excellent guide and problem solver. The site involved placement of numerous photographs of art work and I decided to give her the initial options to arrange them. As it turned out, her “eye” was excellent and I accepted all her recommendations.”
