Project Kesher Redesign
>> Visit the Project Kesher Website
The Situation: Our client, Project Kesher, one of
the largest women's advocacy and human rights organizations
in the former Soviet Union, came to us with a website in need
of a complete redesign. Their website was disorganized, lacked
intuitive navigation and visual appeal and was outdated.
Our Mission: The principal purpose of the new site
was to highlight Project Kesher's innovative work, Jewish
life in the CIS, and women's activism in an effort to educate
and facilitate fundraising and to inform visitors about special
events. Secondary goals included the creation of intuitive
navigation, the streamlining of browsing and the creation
of a scalable structure for growth.
Our Solution: Our first step was to create an outline for the site's content from which a navigational approach flowed. A vibrant, warm, visually exciting graphical user interface was designed with a good use of Project Kesher's logo and colors. Online donations were facilitated by a donations page clearly accessible from all pages of the website. Special events were highlighted on the homepage and elsewhere with links to downloadable materials. Contact information was easy to find. New content and audited content from the existing site focused on programs and impact. Photos were illustrative of programs and their results. Messaging and action items were clear throughout the site.
The Result: The redesigned site reflects the compelling theme of Project Kesher's unique and strong programs combined with an effective, straightforward navigational approach to create an experience that is intuitive and engaging. Online donations are now easy to make and information about Project Kesher's programs and special events are readily accessible. The tone of the new site is fresh, innovative, vibrant and friendly while the perception is activist, transformative, feminist and successful.
