Dr. Ann Engelland, M.D. is a physician in Mamaroneck, NY with a specialty in Adolescent and Young Adult Primary Care. When she came to us saying she wanted a website for her practice, we were excited. The site, designed and developed by Painted Pages, gives her practice a fresh, engaging face on the web.
We were inspired by Dr. Engelland's warmth and friendliness and by her beautiful and inviting office and worked to convey that sensiblity. We made good use of her color scheme and placed photos on all pages of the site. We also thought it important that the site communicate a message of Dr. Engelland's competence, energy and abundant knowledge. So while the site's visual interface is bold and energetic, it is also contained, well-organized and very informative. Since this is a site that will be visited by both parents and teens, we wanted it to play well with both audiences. Navigation is intuitive and information easily accessible.
The site was designed to be extremely search engine friendly. To that end it includes search-engine focused text treatments, alternative text for images and a site structure designed for search engine optimization. These help search engine spiders accurately index the information contained on the site, which will help increase the site's visibility for search engine users.
